i was late for service ytd ... oh man ... i just dun know why ... today was full of love ... really ... love of God ... i felt very touched from the start of praise and worship ... up till the alter call ... enriched spiritually ...
ytd was a special weekend service with Pastor C J Hope, an australian evangelist, part of the "unique reapers"(his minsitry) ... he was funny and everything ... but there was definitely more than that ...
he said, "God is not looking for a champion, He is looking for somwone who will
stand" ... well, we all sld know this ... but the question is whether are we living up to it ... did i stand up for the Lord ... even if i have, how long did i actually last ...
6 ways to stand up for God(1) Don't flow with the crowd, but linger with a few
(2) Protect the annoiting
(3) Fortify your life
(4) Don't wait for a platform before you stand
(5) Build Alliances
(6) Stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves
this sermon spoke to me in a special way ... changed my perception ... in particular, point (4) ... i was so filled by the spirit ... tears kept streaming down my cheeks ... a feeling that i've failed ... but at the same time thankful for accepting my flaws and let me know my error ...
"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."Lord you stood up for me 20o0 years ago for all the sins i've commited repeatedly ... you love is indeed unconditional ... Lord now, it's my turn ... it's time for me to step and stand up you ... O Holy Spirit, strength my body, soul and spirit so that i'll be able to achieve greater things in the kingdom of the Lord, my God ...Josh, it time to rise stand up ...
after the service Ps Hope opened a small booth to sell some items, 2 DVDs and a book written by his (to quote him) "hot wife" ... haha ... i bought the DVD ... the one about the Joshua, no not me(the day will come, "You want it, you know that you want it. The fame and the fortune and more. You want it all!" HSM3 ... just kidding ya ... hahas) ... the DVD 's abt the biblical Joshua ... when freda, told me that the Ps Hope live on the sales of his work(the DVDs and the book) ... i was lost for words ... for one who can just go talking on and on, that was a weird moment ... i was so encouraged by his faith ... God bless him ... TG ...
den i met Pastor Anthony ... this was our first meet-up ... so i din know he was actually ... he's the pastor for the sunday bilingual service ... he's a nice guy ... haha ...
after that went for dinner ... was quite pathetic ... it was freda, perisa, jonathan and me ... just the 4 of us ... hahahs ... syl had to rush to visit her grandma whose in the hospital
(bless her O Lord) ... jevelle and jordan had drama rehearsal ... karen, regina and vanessa had dance rehearsal ... kwok feng was meeting up with his friends for dinner ... and the "rugrats" (opps x= ) , "poof!" dissappear ... hahas ... so left with the 4 of us ... hahahas ...
after dinner went back to church to talk to freda ... it's been very long
I "
talked" to her ... it marks a fresh starts in my Christian walk ... so many memories, so many hurts ... almost like self mutilation ... it has to come to an end ... when one door close, God opens a another door ... but for me, i slamed the last door and refused to open the next one ... that had led to stagnation for a long time ... now i know ...
